REVISION SURGERY

REVISION SURGERY IN THE CASE OF COMPLICATIONS / SECONDARY SURGERY FOR AESTHETIC CORRECTIONS

The term revision surgery refers to a repeated procedure in order to attain the originally desired results. The most common reasons for a revision are insufficient surgical results after the first operation or the occurrence of unexpected complications such as a wound healing disturbance making it necessary to conduct an additional procedure.

In Aesthetic surgery, secondary surgery mainly serves to rectify the results of previous procedures which do not meet the patient’s expectations. This may apply in the case of an asymmetry of the breast following an augmentation or reduction, for the correction of scars or when an implant has shifted. Other common indications for corrective surgery are the palpability of an implant or the occurrence of a capsular contracture.

Through the close cooperation with the University Breast Center Duesseldorf and the Sana Kliniken Duesseldorf, our entire team of physicians possesses extensive experience within the entire field of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery as well as microsurgery. Colleagues from all over Germany refer their patients and regularly the most complicated cases to us, because they know that we are going to find the best solution together with the patient.

Are you dissatisfied with the result of an aesthetic procedure or does a previous breast reconstruction have a substantially negative impact on your quality of life? Put your trust in our experience and schedule an appointment.
